BUXAR--------------------------A unique and socially charged event is set to take place on March 9th at the historic Jangli Mahadev Temple complex in Dumraon. During the mass marriage festival, 11 couples will begin their new lives by taking seven vows in a single pavilion, following Vedic rituals. The event aims to support the marriage of daughters from economically disadvantaged families and to promote a message of collective responsibility in society.
The festival is being organized under the auspices of the Rudra Sagar Seva Sansthan. A meeting of the organization's members was held in a private auditorium in Dumraon to prepare for the event, where the outline, arrangements, and responsibilities of the event were discussed in detail. Former Gujarat DGP K.K. Ojha, the organization's secretary Ravi Shankar Choubey, Bal Krishna Choubey, former chief Tejnarayan Ojha, Vindhyachal Ojha, Shibu Dubey, and Sonu Ojha, along with several social workers, were present. Officials of the organization stated that 11 couples have already registered for the mass wedding. All couples' marriages will be solemnized with traditional Hindu rituals and Vedic chanting. The venue will be beautifully decorated to create a festive atmosphere for the families and guests attending the ceremony.
After the wedding, along with blessing the newlyweds, the daughters will also be provided with essential household items for daily use. This will include kitchen and household items, so that the newlyweds can begin their married life smoothly. The organization believes that this support is not limited to simply fulfilling a social tradition, but also provides a significant support to families in need.
The organization's members stated that this initiative also aims to convey the message to society that a sacred ceremony like marriage can be celebrated with simplicity and a spirit of cooperation. Mass marriage not only reduces unnecessary expenditure but also strengthens the spirit of social unity and cooperation. Former Gujarat DGP K.K. Ojha, who was present at the meeting, said that such events are inspiring for society. They also provide courage to families who, due to financial constraints, feel unable to arrange marriages for their sons and daughters.
He added that mass marriages strengthen the spirit of cooperation and responsibility in society.
Organization officials stated that this year, 11 couples are being married, but there are plans to expand the program further in the future. Next year, the organization aims to organize mass marriages for 21 couples, so that more needy families can benefit from this initiative.
