DELHI----------------------------A massive protest took place at Jantar Mantar on Friday, aimed at securing justice in the case of the alleged staged encounter of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari, a resident of Bilauti village in the Shahpur block of Bihar's Bhojpur district. A large number of people from various states across the country, including Bihar, participated in this peaceful sit-in protest, demanding strict legal action against the police officers and STF personnel found guilty in the incident.
Bharat Bhushan Tiwari’s mother, Asha Devi, sister Ruby Devi, and younger brother Chandan Tiwari were present on the stage during the protest, pleading with the government for justice for their family member. Representatives from numerous social and religious organizations—such as Karni Sena, Kali Sena, Hindu Mahasabha, Parashuram Sena, and Rashtriya Brahmin Mahasabha—demonstrated their solidarity at the event.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Anand Swaroop stated that if the encounter is indeed suspicious and is being viewed as a murder, then immediate and stern action must be taken against the police officers and personnel involved. Meanwhile, Yamini Ranjan Mishra, the former National Student President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), arrived at Jantar Mantar carrying a message from Union Minister Chirag Paswan. Considered a close aide of Chirag Paswan, Yamini Ranjan emphasized that his leader is fully committed to securing justice in this case. He mentioned that Chirag Paswan has discussed the matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and remains in constant contact regarding it. Reassuring the aggrieved family, he stated that Bharat Bhushan Tiwari’s sacrifice would not go in vain, as he had dedicated his life to the upliftment and welfare of the Dalit and Mahadalit communities.
Other prominent speakers who addressed the protest included retired IPS officer Alankar Agnihotri, former MLA Sanjay Tiwari (Munna Tiwari), Nagesh Samrat, Daksh Chaudhary, Deepak Pandit, Haryana Congress MLA Kuldeep Vats, Pankaj Tripathi, Saroj Tripathi, Ramesh Kumar Sudama, and Jan Suraaj leader Manish Kashyap. All these speakers unanimously and strongly demanded a CBI inquiry to ensure the impartiality of the matter.
