ARA-------------------------------Prem Singh Gehlawat, the 80-year-old CPI(ML) Central Committee member and National Vice-President of the All India Kisan Mahasabha, passed away today due to cardiac arrest at Jhunjhunu station while returning from a meeting of the All India Kisan Mahasabha's National Executive in Rajasthan. A wave of grief swept through the entire party upon hearing the news of his demise. His last rites will be performed in Delhi. A condolence meeting was held at the CPI(ML) district office to mourn his passing. Those present to pay tribute included CPI(ML) Politburo member and senior leader Comrade Swadesh Bhattacharya; Central Committee member and District Secretary Abhyuday; senior leader Meera Ji; State Committee members Sudhir Kumar, Qyamuddin Ansari, and Sangeeta Singh; District Committee members Jitendra Singh, Rajnath Ram, Sushil Pal, Chandan Kumar, and Roshan Kushwaha; and City Committee members Santvilas Ram, Sandeep Kumar, Devanand Ram, Bhim Paswan, Chhotelal Singh, and Yogendra Yadav, among others. Addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) Politburo member and senior leader Swadesh Bhattacharya stated that the news of the untimely demise of Prem Singh Gehlawat—a CPI(ML) Central Committee member and National Vice-President of the All India Kisan Mahasabha—comes as a profound shock to the party, the All India Kisan Mahasabha, and the broader mass movements.

Despite having turned 80 this year, Comrade Prem Singh Gehlawat continued to participate in party programs, organizational work, and mass struggles with the same vigor and commitment as ever. He constantly inspired his comrades through his unwavering dedication, simplicity, and revolutionary spirit. His sudden passing is an irreparable loss to the movement. CPI(ML) Liberation expresses its deepest condolences to his bereaved family, comrades, friends, and all those who had the opportunity to work with him.

The condolence meeting was conducted by Dilraj Pritam, the CPI(ML) District Office Secretary.
