SASARAM-------------------------With the objective of widely publicizing the welfare schemes administered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and connecting tribal communities with government initiatives, the 'Tribal Dignity Festival–2026' program is being organized in Rohtas district. This initiative is being conducted under the 'Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign' (Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan), which falls under the broader 'PM-JANMAN' (Prime Minister's Tribal Justice Mega-Mission). The campaign is grounded in the spirit of 'Public Participation—Reaching the Farthest First' (Jan Bhagidari—Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle). District Magistrate Udita Singh announced that special camps and awareness programs are scheduled to be organized from May 18 to May 25 in tribal-dominated villages across various blocks of the district. Through these camps, tribal communities will be provided with information regarding various schemes of both the Central and State governments, and the prompt resolution of beneficiaries' grievances will be ensured. The District Magistrate stated that, during the campaign, various departments will work in a coordinated manner at every block, Panchayat, and village level. Applications and complaints received at these camps will be processed on a priority basis to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the direct benefits of the schemes. Additionally, village-level teams will conduct field visits to assess the actual status and implementation of these schemes.

She emphasized that this campaign is not merely a government program, but a significant initiative aimed at the holistic development and social empowerment of the tribal community. Through this effort, attempts are being made to disseminate information regarding schemes related to education, health, housing, drinking water, social security, employment, and other basic amenities to the very last person.

Appealing to the residents of the district, elected representatives, social organizations, and concerned officials, the District Magistrate urged them to actively cooperate in making the 'Tribal Dignity Festival–2026' a success and to encourage as many people as possible to participate. She specifically requested members of the tribal community to visit the camps organized in their vicinity to obtain information about government-run schemes and to avail themselves of the benefits offered. She affirmed that the District Administration of Rohtas remains fully committed to the development and welfare of the tribal community. It will be ensured that no eligible individual is deprived of the benefits of government schemes. Issuing necessary directives to all officials and personnel for the successful execution of the campaign, the District Magistrate described public participation as its greatest strength.
