ARA----------------------------A young boy died on Sunday afternoon due to a fever in Janedih village, located within the jurisdiction of the Sandesh police station in the district. He breathed his last while being transported to the Sadar Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the deceased boy's family members have alleged that his death was caused by an injection administered by a local "rural practitioner" (village doctor).
According to reports, the deceased boy—10-year-old Ayush Kumar—was the son of Bijendra Yadav, a resident of Janedih village in the Sandesh police station area. The boy's mother, Vijanti Devi, stated that he had been suffering from a fever for two days. On Sunday, when the fever intensified significantly, his family took him to the local rural practitioner for treatment, where he was administered an injection. Just minutes after receiving the injection, the boy's condition deteriorated rapidly, and his eyes rolled back in his head.
The family members rushed him to the Sandesh Referral Hospital, from where he was referred to the Sadar Hospital for further treatment. Upon their arrival at the Sadar Hospital, the attending physician examined the boy and pronounced him dead. Subsequently, the family members took his body back to their village. On the other hand, the deceased boy's mother, Vijanti Devi, has squarely blamed the injection administered by the rural practitioner for her son's death. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
It is reported that the deceased boy was the second of four children in his family, having two brothers and one sister. His surviving family members include his mother, Vijanti Devi; his sister, Nidhi Kumari; and his brother, Shivam Kumar. The incident has plunged the deceased boy's home into deep mourning; his mother, Vijanti Devi, and all other family members are inconsolable with grief.
