ARA------------------------In view of the severe cold and the continuously intensifying cold wave, the Bhojpur district administration is on high alert and in active mode. Following the instructions of District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania, comprehensive arrangements are being made in the urban and rural areas of the district to protect against the cold wave, ensuring that no needy person is affected by the extreme cold.
The administration is ensuring adequate arrangements for bonfires daily at various major intersections, public places, bus stands, railway stations, market areas, and crowded places in the district. This arrangement is being made continuously to provide relief from the harsh cold, and concerned officials have been instructed to monitor the situation regularly.
The district administration is also distributing blankets to the poor, helpless, and needy people most affected by the cold. People living on sidewalks, in slum areas, and in open spaces are being identified and provided with relief materials on a priority basis. The administration has given clear instructions that no eligible person should be deprived of a blanket.
To provide safe shelter to the homeless and destitute during the cold weather, night shelters are being operated smoothly in the district. These night shelters are providing accommodation, bedding, blankets, and other essential facilities so that people are not forced to sleep in the open and can remain safe from the cold wave.
The district administration is continuously monitoring the situation at the ground level. Concerned officers and personnel have been instructed to regularly review the status of bonfires, night shelters, and blanket distribution and to ensure that there is no negligence. Instructions have also been given to make additional arrangements immediately if needed.
For any emergency, assistance, or information related to the cold wave, citizens can contact the District Emergency Operations Center (DEOC), Bhojpur.
The district administration has appealed to the general public to take special precautions during the cold weather, inform the administration about those in need, and cooperate in helping people living in the open reach the night shelters. The administration's objective is to ensure that no person suffers loss of life or property due to the cold wave in Bhojpur district and that everyone receives safe and humane relief.
