BUXAR--------------------------An incident involving an attempted robbery and assault on a young man in broad daylight has come to light within the jurisdiction of the Murar Police Station in the district. The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 PM on Friday near the Bam Bridge, situated along the Koransaray-Amsari canal road. In this incident, Golu Kumar—a resident of Amsari village and son of Muna Kanu—sustained injuries and subsequently received medical treatment at a government hospital.

In a written complaint submitted to the police, the victim, Golu Kumar, stated that he had visited his paternal aunt's home in Murar. While returning to his native village of Amsari on his motorcycle, three youths riding a separate bike intercepted him on the way by parking their vehicle directly in front of his. It is alleged that two of the three youths dismounted from their bike, physically assaulted him, and inflicted injuries by striking him on the head. The assailants snatched his mobile phone and attempted to flee, while also making an attempt to forcibly take his motorcycle.

During the incident, Golu Kumar raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to gather and give chase to the assailants. In the ensuing scramble to escape, one of the accused dropped his mobile phone at the scene; local residents recovered the device and handed it over to the police.

Upon receiving information regarding the incident, the police swung into action, and an investigation has been initiated based on the victim's written complaint. Murar Station House Officer (SHO) Neha Kumari stated that, *prima facie*, the case appears to be one of snatching/robbery. The investigation has revealed the involvement of three accused individuals, one of whom has already been identified. All the accused are reported to hail from the Tarari police station area within the neighboring Bhojpur district. The police are currently conducting raids to effect arrests and have expressed confidence that the entire case will be solved shortly.
