ARA---------------------------In the election held on Tuesday for the Bhojpur-Buxar Local Authorities' constituency of the Bihar Legislative Council, a total of 357 public representatives—including the Chairman of the Legislative Council, Awadhesh Narain Singh—exercised their franchise here. For the voting process, a polling station was designated within the office chamber of the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Piro, where the voting was conducted amidst adequate security arrangements. In the Piro block, a total of 364 voters—comprising 174 men and 190 women—were scheduled to participate in the voting process; however, seven voters did not cast their votes due to various reasons. Ultimately, a total of 170 male and 187 female voters cast their ballots here. The local administration had made appropriate arrangements to ensure peaceful and fair voting. The voting process concluded in a completely organized and peaceful atmosphere, and no incidents of any dispute were reported during this period. Several officials, including the Assistant Returning Officer-cum-Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Krishna Kumar Upadhyay, remained vigilant throughout the entire voting duration. The Sub-Divisional Officer personally inspected the voting proceedings underway at the polling stations across the Piro, Charpokhari, and Tarari blocks. Following the conclusion of the voting process, all three prominent candidates—including Manoj Kumar Upadhyay—have staked their claim to victory.
