BHABHUA--------------------------Under the aegis of the Bihar State Legal Services Authority, Patna, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Sheohar, organized a special Lok Adalat on Saturday at the Civil Court premises. The event aimed at the speedy resolution of check-bounce cases under the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act.
The objective of the special Lok Adalat was to simplify and make the judicial process effective by resolving long-pending check-bounce cases through mutual consent and in a cordial atmosphere. During the proceedings, a total of 18 cases were successfully settled on the spot based on the agreement and consent of both parties.
The active participation of judicial officers and concerned advocates in the Lok Adalat ensured quick justice for the litigants and reduced the burden of pending cases. The DLSA appealed to citizens to make the most of the Lok Adalat system to resolve disputes, thereby saving time, money, and judicial resources.
