Voting will be held tomorrow for 121 seats in Bihar

Patna/New Delhi (RNI) Voting will be held tomorrow for 121 seats in the first phase of Bihar elections amid tight security. For this purpose, 45,341 polling stations have been set up in 18 districts. Nearly 3.75 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,314 candidates in the first phase.

Prominent candidates whose fate will be decided in the first phase include senior state minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, former ministers Dr. Renu Kushwaha and Lalit Yadav, former Indian Police Service officer R.K. Mishra and former Indian Revenue Service officer Sujit Kumar, and singer Maithili Thakur.

In the first phase in Patna district (14), Muzaffarpur (11), Darbhanga, Samastipur and Saran (10 each), Vaishali and Siwan (8 each), Begusarai, Nalanda and Bhojpur (7 each), Gopalganj (6), Saharsa, Buxar, Madhepura and Khagaria (4 each), Munger (3) and Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura districts (2 each) seats amid tight security,according to the E.C.

According to Chief Election Commissioner Mr.Gyanesh Kumar, 14 foreign delegates from seven countries will closely observe this voting process. These include France, South Africa, Belgium, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Colombia. L.S.
