Preparations are complete. The dargah has been decorated attractively. On the first day (27 October), Quran recitation and the ritual bath (Ghusl) of the Baba will take place at 10 am. Chadarposhi will be performed on 28 October. On the final day (29 October), a discourse (Takrir) will be held from 8 pm, followed by Fateha. Dam Madad will take place the next morning at 4 am.
The dargah is known for promoting Hindu-Muslim unity. The shrine of Baba’s devoted disciple Chullai Yadav also stands in the premises, where people of both communities offer prayers with equal devotion. Temporary shops, swings and facilities have been set up for the mela. This year’s event marks the 777th annual Urs.
