ARA---------------------------A heart-wrenching incident came to light in the morning near Babura Chowk, located on the Babura-Sabalpur embankment road within the Babura police station area. Locals spotted the body of an unidentified person amidst the floodwaters, causing a stir across the entire area.

According to available information, the deceased is estimated to be around 40 years old. The condition of the body is gruesome; the head is missing, and most of the flesh and skin have completely decomposed due to prolonged exposure to floodwaters. A large crowd of locals gathered at the scene upon witnessing this horrifying sight, creating an atmosphere of panic and chaos in the area.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police administration immediately swung into action, arrived at the scene, and took custody of the body. Following a preliminary investigation and the collection of evidence, the body was sent to Ara Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. However, the doctor on duty at Sadar Hospital deemed the case complex—citing the body's severe condition, the missing head, and advanced decomposition—and referred it to Patna for the autopsy.

According to initial findings from the death review report prepared by the police, it appears the young man died by drowning. The body's wretched state is attributed to damage caused by aquatic creatures in the floodwaters. The police state that the exact cause of death can only be determined once the post-mortem report is received. At the time of writing this report, the body remains unidentified.
