THREE YOUTH SWEPT AWAY WITH BIKE

ARA------------------------Attempting to cross floodwaters at the Cher River diversion on the Shahpur-Banahi road proved disastrous for three youths on Tuesday afternoon. While trying to cross the diversion on a motorcycle, they were caught in the strong current and swept into the river along with their bike. Locals managed to rescue one youth, but the other two were swept away by the swift flow and remain missing.

The missing youths have been identified as Sachin Ravani (21) and Sandeep Ravani (20), residents of Shobhitola in Ward No. 1 of Shahpur Nagar Panchayat. Reports indicate that the three friends had gone to Rudranagar village on a motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon. On their return journey, they encountered floodwaters flowing over the Cher River diversion. Despite this, they attempted to cross the water on their motorcycle.

Suddenly, they were caught in the powerful current and swept away along with the bike. Locals present at the scene managed to pull one youth to safety after a strenuous effort; however, there has been no trace of Sachin Ravani or Sandeep Ravani.

Upon receiving news of the incident, local police arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation with the help of local divers.

The search is being hampered by the river's strong current. The administration has also summoned an SDRF team to assist in the search for the missing youths. Following the news of the accident, the families of the missing youths arrived at the site; they are inconsolable.
