POLICE ARRESTED TWO ABSCONDERS

BHABHUA---------------------------Police from the Karamchat station, under the Rampur block of Kaimur district, have successfully arrested two individuals who had been evading the law for a long time. On Sunday, the police conducted a raid in Lakhandahi village and arrested two accused persons in connection with a 2006 case involving assault and a land dispute. On Monday, following a medical examination at the Rampur Primary Health Centre (PHC), both were sent to judicial custody in Bhabua.

According to the police, the arrested individuals have been identified as Nathuni Ram (son of Devnandan Ram) and Sitaram (son of Falakdhari Ram), both residents of Lakhandahi village. Arrest warrants had been issued against both by the court; acting on these warrants, the Karamchat police arrested them.

Reports indicate that the case dates back to 2006, when a physical altercation broke out between two groups in the village over a land dispute. A case was registered against both accused following the incident. Warrants were issued against them while the matter was pending in court, and the police had been searching for them ever since.

Acting on information received on Sunday, the Karamchat police raided Lakhandahi village and arrested both wanted individuals. After the arrest, they were brought to the police station, where the necessary legal formalities were completed. Karamchat Station House Officer (SHO) Pankaj Kumar stated that both accused were arrested based on warrants issued by the court. They underwent a medical examination at the Rampur Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Monday, after which they were remanded to judicial custody and sent to the Bhabua court.

He added that the execution of court-issued warrants is being prioritized. Continuous operations are underway to arrest absconding individuals against whom warrants have been issued, and action against such accused will continue. The police have also appealed to the public to respect the law and comply with court orders.
