MEETING OF ARA SABZI GOLA VEGETABLE VENDORS CONCLUDED:QYAMUDDIN ANSARI

ARA------------------------Qayamuddin Ansari, a member of the CPI(ML) State Standing Committee and former candidate for the Ara Assembly constituency, issued a press statement informing reporters that a large meeting of all street-side vegetable vendors from Ara Sabzi Gola was held last night. Hundreds of vendors participated in the meeting. Deep anguish and anger were evident among the vendors regarding the government's directive to dismantle the Ara Sabzi Gola. During the meeting, there was extensive deliberation, and it was decided that the arbitrary displacement—carried out without providing alternative arrangements—would be vehemently opposed. Ansari, who was present at the meeting, stated that the vendors selling vegetables on the pavement at Sabzi Gola must first organize themselves; he also sharply criticized the district administration's arbitrary order to dismantle the market.

CPI(ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari stated in strong terms that the dismantling of Sabzi Gola without alternative arrangements would be opposed. To this end, a meeting will first be sought with the District Magistrate to present their case.

Ansari affirmed that a struggle would be waged to protect the street-side vending space at Sabzi Gola, and if necessary, a protest would be staged before the District Magistrate involving all the vendors.

The CPI(ML) leader announced the formation of a 17-member 'Street-Side Vegetable Vendors' Struggle Front.' He stated that in the first phase of the agitation, a delegation of vegetable vendors would meet the District Magistrate on August 11, 2026, to present their grievances. The key individuals associated with the Footpath Vegetable Vendors' Struggle Front (Footpathi Sabzi Vikreta Sangharsh Morcha) are: Md. Nasir, Munna Rain, Indu Devi, Panwa Devi, Md. Javed, Md. Yunus, Diwakar Prasad, Md. Maqsood, Chandan Chaurasia, Shri Bhagwan, and Firoz Alam.
