BUXAR------------------------------Allegations of obscenity and vulgarity at a 'Dandiya Night' event held during Navratri have landed the organizers in serious trouble. Following a controversy over the event—held on the night of October 4 at a private hall within the Town Police Station limits—the administration took the matter seriously and directed the police to take action. It is alleged that under the guise of a religious event, vulgar Bhojpuri songs were played, obscene dances were performed, and the atmosphere was disrupted by loud DJ music.

After videos of the event surfaced and complaints were raised, several Hindu organizations and local residents protested. People alleged that obscenity was displayed in the name of a religious event like Dandiya, thereby hurting religious sentiments. Once the matter reached the administration, Sadar SDM Avinash Kumar and SDPO Gaurav Pandey instructed Town SHO Manoj Singh to investigate and take appropriate action. Following an investigation, an FIR was registered on Tuesday at the Town Police Station against five named individuals and other unidentified persons under relevant sections of the law. According to the police, the named accused include the event organizer and blogger Sandeep Keshri (resident of Baba Nagar, Jaso Road), Golu Pandit (resident of Golambar), Sunil Kumar (resident of Gola Bazar), Krishna Dubey (resident of Dhobighat), and Rahul Kushwaha (owner of Barsana Hall).

Confirming the registration of the FIR, Town Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Singh stated clearly that spreading obscenity in society or hurting religious sentiments under the guise of an event would not be tolerated. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Delivering a clear message to the organizers, the Town SHO emphasized the necessity of maintaining the decorum of religious and social events. He warned that the police would take strict action if any obscenity, vulgarity, or objectionable activities were found at any event.
