DM INSPECTS KESHOPUR EMBANKMENT

ARA------------------------------District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena inspected the site of a gap in the Ganges River embankment at Keshopur in Barhara Block. During the visit, the District Magistrate assessed the condition of the embankment, the water level, and the situation in surrounding areas, while also gathering necessary information from the concerned officials.

He directed that the situation be monitored continuously and that prompt action be ensured as required. He instructed the Executive Engineer of the Flood Division to ensure the adequate availability and arrangement of essential materials—such as sandbags—in light of the current circumstances, so that immediate action could be taken if needed.

The District Magistrate directed that, given the current situation, the district administration would operate in "camp mode." All relevant line departments are to remain fully active and work in coordination to ensure swift action in the event of any need or emergency.

He instructed officials to maintain constant surveillance in the area and to accord top priority to public safety. Furthermore, he emphasized the need for coordination with relevant departments to ensure both immediate solutions to the current situation and long-term, permanent resolutions for the embankment gap issue.

He stated that the entire administrative team is keeping a close watch on the situation and that immediate action will be taken using all available resources as required.
