BUXAR---------------------------The premises of the renowned Shri Gangadhari Brahmababa Temple, located in Chhotka Singhanpura village within the Simri block of the district, are once again set to be immersed in an atmosphere of deep devotion and faith. Grand religious and cultural events will be held on October 26 and 27 to mark the temple’s 36th annual festival. The two-day celebration will feature an *Akhand Harikirtan* (continuous devotional chanting), filling the surroundings with a spiritual aura, alongside performances by prominent artists from the Bhojpuri entertainment industry.

Rajkumar Mishra, president of the organizing committee, and secretary Anuj Kumar Mishra stated that a 24-hour *Akhand Harikirtan* will commence on October 26. Following its conclusion, a grand cultural program will take place on October 27. Amarendra Kumar Pandey—popularly known as Pappu Pandey—the JD(U) MLA from Gopalganj, will attend as the chief guest, joined by several other distinguished guests.

The people of Chhotka Singhanpura and surrounding villages hold a profound faith in Shri Gangadhari Brahmababa. According to locals, stories of the 'Baba’s' miracles are well-known throughout the region. It is believed that those who visit the shrine with a sincere heart have their wishes fulfilled. This enduring belief is the reason why the villagers have consistently organized this annual festival for the past 36 years.

This year, the cultural program will feature renowned Bhojpuri artists—Kamalbas Kunwar, Arvind Singh 'Abhiyanta', and Prabhunath Tiwari—who specialize in the *Nardi* style of performance. Additionally, well-known *kirtan* singers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will captivate the devotees with their devotional renditions. A *bhandara* (community feast) has also been arranged to mark the conclusion of the event. To ensure the success of the annual festival, many young people—including Rajkumar Mishra (President of the Brahmababa Seva Samiti), Secretary Anuj Kumar Mishra, as well as Bandhan Mishra, Vinod Mishra, Shashi Bawla, Shriram Mishra, Rameshwar Mishra, Shailendra Mishra, Mantu Mishra, Pintu Mishra, Chintu Mishra, Narad Mishra, Sonu Mishra, Badak Mishra, Pankaj Mishra, Harendra Mishra, and Birendra Mishra—are actively involved.
