SASARAM-------------------------On the auspicious occasion of *Navratri*, a grand theatrical performance depicting the nine forms of Goddess Durga and the defeat of the demon Mahishasura was staged at Bal Bharati Public School, Sasaram, on Friday, October 16, 2026. Adorned in vibrant costumes, striking headgear, and traditional jewelry, the students delivered a vivid performance that brought the campus to lifeleft the audience spellbound. The mythological theme of the triumph of good over evil came to life on stage through the depiction of the slaying of Mahishasura. The students portrayed various manifestations of Goddess Durga, conveying messages of strength, courage, and respect for women. The collective acting and expressive gestures during the scene of Mahishasura’s defeat made the performance truly remarkable. By embodying the forms of Goddesses Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri, the students highlighted the theme of women's empowerment. Present at the event were the school principal, Rakhi Nag; the Chairman, Shri Jagdish Narayan Singh; the principal of Morasarai school, Rajiv Ranjan; the Vice-Principal, Ankita Singh; and members of the media. The Chairman praised the students for this inspiring program. Explaining the significance of the festival of Dussehra, he noted that it encourages us to follow the path of truth, righteousness, and goodness. Other teachers also made commendable contributions toward the success of the event.
