TWO ARRESTED FOR PLEASURE FIRING

ARA------------------------In the Shahpur police station area of ​​Bhojpur district, police have arrested two individuals and sent them to jail in connection with an incident of celebratory firing. The incident occurred at Kirani Chak—located within Ward No. 1 of the Shahpur Nagar Panchayat—during the wedding ceremony of Rupesh Das's sister. During the festivities, several individuals were brandishing pistols, openly displaying their firearms, and engaging in celebratory firing. Upon receiving information regarding this incident, Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Rajesh Malakar dispatched police officials, accompanied by a police force, to the scene. The police apprehended two individuals—Rohit Kumar and Sumit Kumar Ram—at the site of the incident. Upon seeing this, two or three other individuals fled the scene. In connection with this incident, Case No. 127/26, dated 12/5/26, has been registered at the Shahpur Police Station. The police arrested Rohit Kumar (23) and Sumit Kumar Ram (23) and sent them to jail. Rohit Kumar is reported to be the son of Ramesh Kumar Ram of Jamalpur (under the Koilwar Police Station jurisdiction), while Sumit Kumar Ram is reported to be the son of Vijay Ram of Dariyapur (under the Dhobaha Police Station jurisdiction).
