BHABHUA-------------------------In Bihar The Kaimur Police are taking continuous action to effectively enforce the total liquor ban law. In this ongoing effort, the Kudra police have arrested two individuals for alcohol consumption and remanded them to judicial custody.
According to the police administration, Chandeshwar Chaudhary (son of Nandu Chaudhary) from Fakrabad village and Pramod Shah (son of Shankar Shah) from Rampur village—both within the Kudra police station area—were detained on suspicion of consuming alcohol. Following their detention, both accused underwent the mandatory medical examination.
After the medical reports confirmed alcohol consumption, the Kudra police completed the necessary legal formalities under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. Subsequently, both accused were produced before the Bhabhua Court and remanded to judicial custody.
Police officials stated that the liquor ban law is being strictly enforced across the district. Continuous raids and investigative drives are being conducted to tackle the manufacture, smuggling, sale, and consumption of illicit liquor. Strict action, in accordance with the law, will be taken against anyone found violating the regulations.
The Kudra police have appealed to the public to abide by the liquor ban law and to immediately inform the police if they receive any information regarding the manufacture, sale, or consumption of illicit liquor, so that effective action can be taken in such cases.
