BHABHUA--------------------------The police have achieved a major breakthrough in the ongoing campaign against illicit liquor in the Kudra police station area of the district. Acting on a tip-off, the Kudra police conducted a raid in Rampur village and seized a large quantity of illegal country-made liquor.
According to the police, the raid was carried out at the residence of Arvind Chaudhary (son of Lalan Chaudhary) in Rampur village. During the search, 61.2 liters of 'Blue Lime' country-made spiced liquor were recovered.
Following the seizure, the police confiscated the liquor and initiated necessary legal proceedings under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
The Kudra police stated that continuous raids are being conducted to completely curb the illicit liquor trade. Strict action is being taken against individuals involved in the manufacture, storage, transportation, and sale of liquor as part of this campaign.
The police added that a detailed investigation is underway based on the seizure to determine the source of the liquor consignment and identify other individuals involved in the network. Further legal action is in progress.
The police have also appealed to the public to immediately report any information regarding the manufacture, sale, or smuggling of illicit liquor so that timely action can be taken to effectively stop such illegal activities.
