STRICT INSTANCE ON NEGLIGENCE, SHOW CAUSE TO ABSENTEES

BUXAR--------------------------The review meeting of Simri Block Program Implementation Committee was held on Thursday in the block auditorium under the chairmanship of committee chairman Bhagwan Singh "Tyagi". In the meeting, while reviewing the work of various departments, issues related to public interest were discussed in detail.

At the beginning of the meeting, the committee chairman directed to issue show cause notice against those officers who remained absent from the meeting without notice. The absent officers included circle officer, police station in-charge Simri, in-charge Tilak Rai's father, medical in-charge, education officer, branch managers of various banks and representatives of Jeevika.

After this, the compliance with the decisions taken in the previous meeting was reviewed. The committee members raised various issues related to the public department wise, on which the concerned officials assured necessary action.

In the meeting, the Electricity Department was instructed to immediately replace the dilapidated and bare wires and damaged poles. At the same time, for a permanent solution to the problem of water logging on Simri Bazaar Road, emphasis was laid on freeing the 54 feet wide road land from encroachment and constructing a drain. Besides, instructions were given to remove the encroachments on government land and remove the obstacles coming in the way of development works.

The Agriculture Department was advised to establish better coordination with the farmers and take necessary steps to provide 100 percent benefits of all the schemes. The alleged irregularities in the ongoing construction work on the Buxar-Koilwar embankment were also discussed and a proposal was made to form a committee to monitor it. This committee will include Block Development Officer, Zonal Officer and Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the Program Implementation Committee.

The committee also expressed displeasure over complaints of under-weighing of ration in Public Distribution System (PDS) shops. The Chairman clarified that if such complaints are received, action will be taken against the concerned personnel.

In the meeting, emphasis was also laid on wide publicity to disseminate information about Labor Department, Welfare Department and other schemes to the common people.

The Committee expressed serious concern over the recent case of death of an innocent child due to non-availability of ambulance in the Community Health Center and alleged negligence of the Health Department. The Chairman of the Patient Welfare Committee and the Block Development Officer were instructed to take cognizance of the matter and take necessary action. It is noteworthy that the medical officer in charge was also supposed to attend this meeting, but he remained absent without any information.

At the end of the meeting, committee chairman Bhagwan Singh "Tyagi" said that negligence will not be tolerated in any department during his tenure. He said that the committee will conduct surprise inspections of various departments from time to time and action will be taken against guilty and negligent personnel.
