SASARAM------------------------A major road accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Sanjhauli police station area of ​​Rohtas district, where a speeding truck rammed into a police van. A total of 13 personnel, including a female police officer, were injured in the incident. The impact was so severe that the police van was badly damaged, causing chaos at the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place around 1:00 PM near Sosadi village on the Ara-Sasaram Highway. Reports indicate that the police van was heading towards its destination when an oncoming truck lost control and crashed directly into it. The collision was so sudden and forceful that the personnel inside the vehicle did not even have a chance to brace themselves.

Following the accident, locals rushed to the scene and initiated rescue operations. With the help of villagers and other police personnel, all the injured were extricated from the vehicle. They were immediately taken to the Nokha Community Health Center, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

All the injured are being treated at the Nokha Community Health Center, and their condition is being closely monitored. Block Development Officer (BDO) Shefali, Circle Officer (CO) Madhusudan Chaurasia, Station House Officer (SHO) Anuj Kumar Singh, and City Manager Praveen Kumar Ojha also visited the hospital. Officials inquired about the condition of the injured from the doctors and issued instructions to ensure they received proper medical care. They also gathered detailed information about the incident from the police personnel present at the scene.

Upon receiving news of the incident, senior police officers arrived at the site to assess the situation. The police have launched an investigation into the matter. Preliminary reports suggest that the condition of all the injured is stable, although some personnel have sustained serious injuries.

Traffic on the main Ara-Sasaram highway was disrupted for some time due to the accident. Long queues of vehicles formed on the road, which the police subsequently managed to clear, gradually restoring normal traffic flow. The situation was brought under control after the accident-damaged vehicles were removed.

The police have now set out to identify the truck driver and determine the actual cause of the accident. Investigations are also underway to ascertain whether the incident was caused by negligence or a technical fault.

This accident once again highlights the dangers of speeding and reckless driving. Fortunately, all the personnel survived, but the incident has raised several questions regarding road safety.
