SPREADING MISINFORMATION IS A CRIME: SARFRAZ AHMED KHAN

ARA-----------------------------Lashing out at the *Kshatriya Kalyan Sangh* (Kshatriya Welfare Association) of Bhojpur—an organization that has stirred up controversy regarding the statue of Babu Kunwar Singh located in the local Veer Kunwar Singh Park—Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan, General Secretary of the Veer Kunwar Singh Memorial Committee, stated that after 43 years, the *Kshatriya Kalyan Sangh* has suddenly begun to perceive a "mare" where a "stallion" stands. He emphasized that absolutely no tampering has been done to either the statue or the horse. Beautification work is currently underway within the park, and attempts are being made to obstruct this process. Previously, both the statue and the horse were painted black; they have now simply been given a fresh, new aesthetic.

Mr. Khan asserted that it is a criminal act for any organization to spread such misinformation. He reminded the public that Babu Saheb did not belong to any single community; his army comprised people from all castes and religious backgrounds.

In a message he issued, Mr. Khan clarified that Babu Saheb was a true symbol of communal harmony. He urged that "dirty politics" should not be played over Babu Saheb's statue, noting that society has not—and will not—forget the immense contributions he made to the country's struggle for independence. Engaging in such divisive tactics would only serve to hurt the sentiments of the entire community.
