BHABHUA------------------------The entire area was plunged into grief when the mortal remains of Sajan Paswan—the Station House Officer (SHO) of Ratwara police station in Madhepura district, who had died in a road accident in Begusarai—arrived at his ancestral village, Bhopatpur in Kaimur, on Saturday. Family members wailed upon seeing the body wrapped in the tricolor, and a massive crowd of villagers gathered to pay their last respects. People in the region held Sajan Paswan in high regard due to his dedication to duty and his simple nature.

A poignant tribute ceremony was held prior to the last rites. Kaimur Superintendent of Police (SP) Harimohan Shukla handed over the national flag to the late officer's father and conveyed condolences on behalf of the department. Subsequently, the police force presented a Guard of Honor with state honors. Police personnel fired shots into the air to offer a final salute to their colleague; the scene moved everyone present to tears. Officials and villagers observed a two-minute silence to pray for the peace of his soul.

Remembering Sajan Paswan, villagers described him as an honest, dutiful, and compassionate officer. They noted that he had always prioritized public service throughout his career. His untimely demise is an irreparable loss not only for his family but also for the entire police department and the region. Locals stated that his absence would be deeply felt for a long time to come.

Thousands of people participated in the funeral procession of the late SHO. A somber atmosphere prevailed in Bhopatpur village and the surrounding areas throughout Saturday. Senior police officials, public representatives, and a large number of villagers were present during the last rites. With teary eyes and heavy hearts, the people of the region bid a final farewell to their beloved son and dedicated police officer. The entire village remained immersed in grief over the loss of its beloved son.
