ARA---------------------------In view of rising temperatures and the onset of summer heat, government schools will switch to a morning schedule effective April 6. As per the directive issued by the Director of Secondary Education, schools will open at 6:30 AM. A "Chetna Satra" (morning assembly) will be held from 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM. The first period will run from 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM. The second period will be from 7:40 AM to 8:20 AM, and the third period will continue from 8:20 AM to 9:00 AM. The recess will take place at 9:00 AM; during this time, mid-day meals will be served to students in primary schools. Classes will resume from 10:00 AM and continue until 12:20 PM. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 PM, whereas teachers will leave the school at 12:30 PM, following a session with the Headmaster to review the subjects taught and formulate a work plan for the following day. Previously, morning classes were conducted only from 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This time, the order to conduct classes from 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM is expected to increase difficulties for the teachers. Furthermore, concerns are being raised regarding the potential adverse impact on the children's health due to the intense sunlight and heatwaves prevalent after 12:00 PM.
