POLICE ARREST FIVE DRUNKARD

BHABHUA--------------------------The Bhagwanpur police, operating within the subdivision area, have arrested five individuals for public intoxication and sent them to jail. Providing details regarding this matter, Bhagwanpur Station House Officer (SHO) Chandrashekhar Sharma stated that while four of the drunkards were apprehended by the police during routine patrol, a fifth individual was arrested following a tip-off from his wife. Medical examinations subsequently confirmed that all five individuals had consumed alcohol. The arrested husband was identified as Munna Ram, son of Rajnath Ram, a resident of Bhagwanpur village. His wife reported that, during the celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, her husband had consumed alcohol and was physically assaulting her. Driven to desperation, she alerted the police station, whereupon the police arrested him and remanded him to judicial custody. The four other arrested individuals were identified as Rajiv Kumar (son of Surendra Ram) and Manish Kumar (son of Gulab Ram)—both residents of Bhairpur village—as well as Pradeep Kumar (son of Nandkishore Ram) and Gulab Ram (son of the late Jalim Ram)—both residents of Bhairpur village. All five individuals fall under the jurisdiction of the Bhagwanpur police station in Kaimur district. Following medical examinations conducted at the Bhagwanpur Primary Health Center, all of them were sent to judicial custody in Bhabhua.
