ARA-----------------------A 'Campus Placement Drive-2026' was organized on Monday at Jagjivan College, Ara, under the Graduate Employability Enhancement Training (GEET) program run by Veer Kunwar Singh University. The event was presided over by the Principal, while Julie Kumari, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, conducted the proceedings.

The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the garlanding of the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram. This placement drive was organized under the joint aegis of Learnet Skills Private Limited and the Jagjivan College Placement Cell, as part of the Infosys Foundation's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Under the GEET program, 30 students have received 84 hours of free training—conducted through both online and offline modes—covering subjects such as communication skills, computer skills, and personality development. Placement Head Keshav Kumar provided the students with detailed information regarding job opportunities, job profiles, and salary packages available at various reputed companies, including Godrej, Airtel, Tata Motors, and SBI Card. In the first phase of the placement drive, many students participated in interviews, and several candidates were selected for the next round. The Principal stated that the college strives to provide students with better career opportunities. Such collaborations with the corporate sector boost the students' self-confidence and make them more capable of competing in the job market. She added that the GEET program serves as a vital platform for employment and skill development for final-year undergraduate students.
