ONE MAY RETIRE FROM JOB BUT NEVER FROM DUTY

Sunil Kumar Rohtas, a litterateur and the District Coordinator of 'Kashi Kavya Sangam Rohtas', stated that everyone eventually retires from their job, business, or formal position at some point in life. This represents merely a change in role or responsibility... There is no end to the meaningfulness of life. In the true sense, a person remains active as long as the inspiration to act, the spirit of service, and the light of noble values remain ignited within them.

SASARAM----------------------------Sunil Kumar Rohtas, a litterateur and the District Coordinator of 'Kashi Kavya Sangam Rohtas', stated that everyone eventually retires from their job, business, or formal position at some point in life. This represents merely a change in role or responsibility... There is no end to the meaningfulness of life. In the true sense, a person remains active as long as the inspiration to act, the spirit of service, and the light of noble values remain ignited within them.

Retirement merely signifies the end of office hours; it does not mark the end of our responsibilities towards society, family, and the nation. The wisdom gained through years of experience, knowledge, and life's struggles serves as an invaluable legacy for future generations. If seniors share their experiences with the youth, many lives can be guided onto the right path.

In Indian culture, work itself is considered worship. A person is truly defined not by their position, but by their deeds. While positions and prestige may change with time, qualities such as service, virtuous conduct, humility, and noble values earn a person lifelong respect. Therefore, even after retirement, numerous fields—such as social service, education, environmental conservation, cow protection, religious activities, public welfare, and instilling values within the family—await our contribution.

Old age is not a time for inactivity, but a golden opportunity to dedicate one's finest life experiences to the welfare of society. For those who find joy in service, life never becomes a burden; they remain happy themselves and kindle the light of hope in the lives of others.

Today, there is a need for our seniors to view themselves not as "retired," but as "re-inspired"—filled with renewed purpose. They should guide the youth through their experiences, instill moral values in children, and become agents of positive change in society. This would be the greatest achievement of their lives.

Let us resolve that while we may one day retire from our jobs, we will never retire from our commitment to action, service, virtuous conduct, and noble values. After all, a person's true identity lies not in their position, but in their noble deeds. It is these deeds that immortalize them in the memory of society, and therein lies the true success of life.
