DM INSPECTS KARMANCHAT DAM

SASARAM-------------------------------Assessment of the irrigation system; directives issued to ensure water reaches the tail-end of canals. Rohtas District Magistrate Deepak Kumar Mishra inspected the Durgawati Reservoir Project to assess the status of the irrigation system. During the inspection, he reviewed the project's operations, the canal network, and the irrigation facilities being provided to farmers.

Engineers from the Water Resources Department provided the District Magistrate with detailed information regarding the dam's functioning, the canal system, and the project's implementation. Various technical and operational aspects of the project were also discussed during the visit. During the course of the inspection, the District Magistrate also inspected the Durgawati Right Main Canal in Rohtas district. He instructed the concerned officials to ensure the uninterrupted flow of water—reaching the very tail-end—through the canals and all their distributaries, so that farmers do not face any difficulties regarding irrigation.

The District Magistrate directed officials from the Water Resources Department to continuously monitor the irrigation system and ensure that the project's benefits effectively reach farmers in the designated areas.
