BHABHUA------------------------Acting on a tip-off, the police achieved a major breakthrough against the illegal liquor trade in the Mohania police station area. During a raid, 35.2 liters of country-made liquor and ₹4,68,500 in cash were recovered from the home of Shivam Kumar in Shuklapipra village. The police arrested the accused—Shivam Kumar, son of Rajesh Pasi, a resident of Shuklapipra (Mohania police station area, Kaimur district)—at the scene. The recovered cash and liquor have been seized. According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, and further legal action is underway. Additionally, the source of the recovered cash and his links to the illicit liquor trade are being investigated.
