ARA------------------------------In the Salempur market area, under the jurisdiction of the district's Dhobaha police station, local residents surrounded a Sub-Inspector who had arrived in plain clothes to conduct a raid following a tip-off regarding illicit liquor. The Sub-Inspector is alleged to have not only misbehaved with the people present while in an intoxicated state but also threatened to demolish their shops. Outraged by this conduct, the locals created a massive uproar. The situation was brought under control only after Dhobaha Station House Officer (SHO) Varsha Rani, upon receiving the information, arrived at the scene with a police force and pacified the crowd through persuasion.

A video of this incident has also surfaced and is rapidly going viral on social media; in it, the Sub-Inspector can be seen wearing a T-shirt and jeans, while people are accusing him of being under the influence of alcohol. *Khabre Aapki* does not independently verify the authenticity of this viral video. Meanwhile, preparations are underway to initiate departmental action against the Sub-Inspector in this matter. The accused Sub-Inspector has been identified as Abhishek Kumar. Superintendent of Police (SP) Raj has stated that action will be taken against the Sub-Inspector.

Reacting to the incident, the SP explained that the Sub-Inspector had proceeded to conduct the raid in plain clothes without informing the Station House Officer. Following the revelation of the incident, the Sub-Inspector's blood and urine samples were tested. While the tests did not confirm the consumption of alcohol, disciplinary action is nonetheless being initiated against him. The SP emphasized that conducting a raid in plain clothes without prior intimation to the SHO constitutes a serious act of indiscipline.

Separately, the viral video shows a young man—clad in a T-shirt and jeans—standing near a police vehicle. Some individuals in the crowd are identifying him as Abhishek Kumar, a Sub-Inspector attached to the Dhobaha police station. People can be heard alleging that the Sub-Inspector is intoxicated and is issuing threats to demolish shops. In a second video, locals are seen continuing their protest against the Sub-Inspector, even in the presence of the Station House Officer.
