SASARAM---------------------------There are 368,628 government pension beneficiaries in the district; while life verification has been completed for 288,405 of them, the process remains pending for the remaining 80,201. This information was provided by Niju Kumar Ram, Assistant Director of the Rohtas District Social Security Cell. He stated that 526 pensioners in the district have been declared deceased so far. The Assistant Director further explained that under the second condition of the Chief Minister's Marriage Scheme, if a Hindu bride and groom belong to different castes and one of them holds a disability certificate indicating a disability level of over 40 percent, the bride receives ₹1 lakh, and the partner with the disability receives a fixed deposit worth ₹1 lakh in their name as an incentive. Thus, the couple receives a combined incentive amount of ₹2 lakh.
