BUXAR-------------------------A tragic accident shook the entire area of ​​Buniyadi Tola village in the Bagengola police station area on Friday. A 10-year-old boy drowned in a pond after returning from school. The incident has left the village in mourning and silence.

The deceased has been identified as Ankit Kumar (10 years old), son of Umesh Yadav, a resident of Buniyadi Tola. According to family members, Ankit went to school on Friday morning as usual. He did not return home after the afternoon school was dismissed. When he was not found for a long time, the family became worried. Nearby children and villagers were questioned, but no trace of him was found.

By evening, family members and villagers intensified the search. Meanwhile, Ankit's school bag was found on the banks of a pond near the village. The sight of the bag raised fears of something untoward happening. The administration was immediately informed. Upon receiving the information, the SDRF team arrived at the scene and launched a search operation in the pond. After much effort, the child's body was pulled out of the water. Upon finding the body, the family was devastated. The parents and relatives are inconsolable. Villagers reported that there is no security or fencing around the pond, which often poses a danger. Station House Officer Abhay Shankar stated that the body has been taken into custody and sent to Buxar for post-mortem examination. The police are investigating the matter. Following the incident, the entire village is observing a water ban.
