BUXAR---------------------------A commotion erupted at the city police station on Sunday afternoon when a young man, dressed in a police uniform and armed with a service revolver, was arrested during interrogation as a fake constable. The case relates to pressure exerted on the police in a young woman's case. Police have filed an FIR against the youth and his uncle.
According to reports, a woman, Vigya Kumari (30), arrived at the city police station around 2 p.m. She was accompanied by a young man in police uniform acting as a bodyguard. The young man also carried a service pistol. The woman was attempting to pressure the police regarding a case. Meanwhile, officers on duty became suspicious of the young man's actions and began questioning him.
During the interrogation, the woman, sensing the situation, quietly left the police station premises, while the young man remained seated. When police questioned him about his posting, rank, and departmental regulations, he was unable to provide satisfactory answers. Upon strict questioning, the youth revealed his name as Paramjit Singh, son of Manish Kumar, resident of Ganpat village, Hilsa police station, Nalanda district.
He admitted that his uncle, Amit Abhishek, is posted as a PTC at the SC-ST police station in Ara district, and that the uniform and pistol belong to him. The youth also stated that he had accompanied the woman to Nawanagar, where an attempt was made to pressure the opposing party. They then proceeded to the Buxar Nagar police station.
The police immediately confiscated the government weapon. An FIR has been registered against Paramjit Singh and his uncle, Amit Abhishek, and further legal action has been initiated. Police officials have clarified that misuse of the uniform and government weapon will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
