IMFL FOUND IN TRANSPORT OFFICE

Although a liquor prohibition law is in force in Bihar, a large quantity of both empty and full liquor bottles was discovered on Thursday within the premises of the Buxar District Transport Office. This discovery has completely exposed the hollowness of official government claims. The most pressing question is not merely that bottles were found, but rather: for how long has this been going on inside a sensitive government office, and why did no responsible official catch even the slightest whiff of it?

BUXAR--------------------------Although a liquor prohibition law is in force in Bihar, a large quantity of both empty and full liquor bottles was discovered on Thursday within the premises of the Buxar District Transport Office. This discovery has completely exposed the hollowness of official government claims. The most pressing question is not merely that bottles were found, but rather: for how long has this been going on inside a sensitive government office, and why did no responsible official catch even the slightest whiff of it?

While the administration is currently downplaying the incident as a routine recovery case and promising an investigation, local residents are speculating in a completely different direction. Locals argue that in a complex frequented daily by officials, staff, and the general public, the accumulation of such a massive quantity of liquor cannot simply be dismissed as mere "negligence." The most intense scrutiny is currently focused on the surveillance mechanisms. If liquor consumption or storage was taking place despite the presence of CCTV cameras, security personnel, and regular monitoring systems within government offices, why is accountability not being established? There is also speculation as to whether this is merely a case of personal liquor consumption or if the premises were being utilized by a larger, illicit network.

As mentioned, a liquor prohibition law is in force in Bihar, yet on Thursday, a large quantity of empty and full liquor bottles was recovered from the Buxar District Transport Office premises, thereby exposing the reality behind official government claims. The most critical question remains: for how long had these activities been occurring within a sensitive government office, and why did no responsible official have even the faintest clue about it? Reports indicate that a massive quantity of liquor bottles and wrappers were recovered from rooms located beneath the office complex and from the vicinity of official government cupboards. As soon as the matter came to light, chaos ensued within the premises. Acting on the information, the police—including SDPO Gaurav Pandey—rushed to the scene. Subsequently, a team from the Excise Department also arrived and initiated an investigation.

Following the incident, transport operations... The functioning of the department has also come under scrutiny. Common citizens argue that if government offices themselves fail to respect the law, how can the general public be expected to adhere to it strictly? Currently, the police and the Excise Department are engaged in an investigation; however, this incident has raised serious questions regarding administrative transparency, accountability, and the ground-level reality of the prohibition law. SP Shubham Arya has confirmed this development. He stated that both empty and full bottles of liquor were recovered from the premises of the Transport Department's office. The matter is currently under investigation, and strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty in connection with this case.
