BHABHUA--------------------------Major action has been taken in the Rampur block of the district regarding a case of alleged black marketing of gas cylinders. During a raid conducted by the Block Supply Officer, nine gas cylinders were recovered from the residence and shop of an agency employee. In connection with this matter, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the concerned employee at the Karamchat Police Station. Block Supply Officer Tejaswini Anand stated that this action was initiated following a complaint filed by Santosh Chaudhary, a resident of Sabar village.
The complaint alleged that despite having booked a gas cylinder online, the complainant did not receive it, and the agency employees subjected him to rude behavior. Taking the matter seriously, a raid was conducted—with the assistance of the Karamchat Police—at the residence and shop of Ramendra Prasad, located in Marecha village. During the investigation, six gas cylinders were recovered from the house and three from the shop. When asked to produce valid documentation for the cylinders during the raid, the family members were unable to present any documents. Consequently, all nine cylinders were seized. Based on the statement provided by the Block Supply Officer, a named FIR has been registered against Ramendra Prasad at the Karamchat Police Station. Officials have clarified that strict action will be taken in such cases. The seized cylinders have been handed over to the 'Maa Mundeshwari Indane Rural Distributor' located in Sabar village. Meanwhile, attempts were made to seek information regarding this matter via telephone from the Karamchat Station In-charge, Pankaj Kumar; however, he did not answer the calls.
