PATNA-----------------------A quick scroll through social media reveals numerous posts promoting the 'Radhaswami Organization' with catchy slogans: "Why wait? Come quickly, get it quickly! The Radhaswami Organization is now in your city—get two-wheelers (motorcycles) and four-wheeler luxury vehicles at massive discounts." They urge people to "Invest in the Radhaswami Organization and reap nothing but profits." Complaints regarding these activities reached the Bihar DGP, the Finance Department, and the Reserve Bank of India. Taking cognizance of the matter, DGP Vinay Kumar ordered the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) to conduct an investigation and take appropriate action. The DIG of the EOU has since written to the Divisional Commissioner, the District Magistrate (Patna), and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), directing them to initiate lawful action against the organization under the relevant sections of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes (BUDS) Act, 2019; the Bihar Protection of Interests of Depositors (BPID) Act, 2002; and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The Finance Department, the Reserve Bank of India, and the Bihar DGP had received complaints alleging that the Radhaswami Organization was engaging in fraudulent activities amounting to crores—and potentially billions—by deceiving the public through misleading propaganda disseminated via social media and other platforms. These scams are being perpetrated under the pretext of providing benefits through various schemes, such as the 'Kanyadan' (Daughter's Marriage) Scheme, Housing Scheme, Vehicle Scheme, and others. Taking the matter with utmost seriousness, the DGP directed the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) to take action. Upon investigating the matter, the Economic Offences Unit found the case to be prima facie suspicious. Consequently, the DIG of the EOU has issued directives to the Divisional Commissioner (who also serves as the Competent Authority under the BUDS Act, 2019), the District Magistrate of Patna (who also serves as the Competent Authority under the BPID Act, 2002), and the SSP of Patna to initiate action against the Radhaswami Organization. The DIG of the EOU has directed that legal action be initiated—under the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes (BUDS) Act, 2019; the Bihar Protection of Interests of Depositors in Financial Establishments (BPID) Act, 2002; and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)—against the Radhaswami organization. This action stems from allegations that the organization defrauded the public of crores and billions of rupees by inducing people to deposit money under the guise of misleading schemes—such as the 'Kanya Dan Yojana' (Daughter's Marriage Scheme), vehicle schemes (two-wheeler and four-wheeler), housing schemes, and investment plans—while luring them with false promises of substantial discounts and benefits. Attempts were made to contact the Commissioner and the District Magistrate (DM) of Patna regarding this matter; further details will be provided once their response is received.
