ARA---------------------------Wednesday evening, an elderly man drowned after venturing into the deep waters of the Son River at Chilhos Ghat No. 14, located within the jurisdiction of the Sandesh Police Station in Bhojpur district. Upon learning of the incident, local residents immediately informed the police. Responding to the report, the Sandesh Police team arrived at the scene, recovered the body from the river, and—after completing necessary formalities—sent it to the Sadar Hospital in Ara for a post-mortem examination. According to the police, the deceased was a resident of Chilhos village. He had left his home in the morning and gone to the banks of the Son River, where this tragic incident occurred. Locally, an atmosphere of grief prevails among the people regarding the incident. The police are currently engaged in investigating the matter.
