PATNA--------------------------Renowned litterateur and social worker Dr. Anil Sulabh rehabilitated Raju Thakur—a young man with a physical disability affecting his legs—by presenting him with a pair of crutches on Friday. The presentation took place in Amba Ojha Tola village, located within the jurisdiction of the Piprahi Bazar Police Station in the district. These crutches were provided on behalf of Dr. Sulabh's Patna-based institution, the Indian Institute of Health Education and Research, Beur.

Addressing a brief ceremony organized on this occasion, Dr. Sulabh stated that his Patna-based institute offers free treatment for the deaf and mute, as well as for all ailments related to hearing and speech. Conditions such as stuttering and lisping can be completely cured. Furthermore, by examining newborns, it is possible to determine whether or not an infant possesses the ability to hear. Following such an examination, the child can be enabled to hear through the fitting of a hearing aid. Once a child begins to hear, they will naturally begin to speak as well. In reality, it is those who are congenitally deaf who become mute; after all, how can a person speak if they have never heard a single sound in their entire life? The ability to hear is a prerequisite for the ability to speak—and today, all of this is possible. His institute also provides treatment for various other forms of disabilities.

Distinguished personalities and intellectuals—including educationists Vidyapati Jha, Parasnath Mishra, Ranjit Mishra, Amarnath Jha, Vikas Jha ‘Dhiraj’, Arun Kumar Jha, Sunil Kumar Jha, Manoj Kumar Jha, Jitesh Chaudhary, and Vikram Jha—were present on this occasion.
