DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION IN SKRITI KUMARI MURDER

2-MARCH-ENG 1

RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA---------------------------The incident of Akriti Kumari, an engineering student and daughter of Pinku (Pintu) Keshari, a resident of Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat, being lured and taken away by a named individual is extremely serious and concerning. Five days have passed since the incident, but it is unfortunate that no satisfactory action has been taken.

The family has been continuously informing the police about her location, yet the police are not showing the required urgency. This situation is not only painful for the victim's family but also a matter of concern for society. We should also consider the mental state of the family whose daughter Akriti Kumari is missing—the mother, father, brother, and other relatives.

Akriti's father, Pintu Keshari, has stated that he is exhausted from running all the way to Nawada, but no concrete results have been achieved. The accused's father's display of wedding photos in court is highly condemnable and objectionable. This type of court marriage without the family's consent raises serious social and moral questions.

In this case, the Bhojpur Superintendent of Police is requested to strictly interrogate the accused's father and clarify where the boy is and where the girl is being held. It is the police's primary responsibility to safely recover the girl and hand her over to her family.

Both society and the administration should work together to ensure that the safety of daughters is a top priority and that the most stringent action is taken against the culprits. If necessary, the Honorable Court should also take suo motu cognizance and issue clear and strict guidelines in such cases, so that such incidents do not recur in the future.
