BHABHUA---------------------Serious allegations of corruption have been leveled against the Executive Officer (EO) of Kudra Nagar Panchayat. Two individuals have lodged complaints with the government, alleging that the EO demanded a 2% commission in exchange for approving tenders and misappropriated government funds. Viewing the matter seriously, the Urban Development Department has sought an inquiry report from the Kaimur District Magistrate (DM).

1. Arun Kumar Gupta alleged that even after depositing the required amount for the agreements related to tender notices 01, 02, 03, 04 and re-tender 01/2025-26 (Groups 06, 07, 08, and 26), the EO demanded a 2% commission through a staff member.

2. Krishna Prasad complained that the EO is arbitrarily misappropriating government funds in violation of departmental rules.

Shashi Bhushan Prasad, Joint Director of the Urban Development Department, sent a letter to the Kaimur DM on April 30, 2026. The DM has been asked to conduct a point-by-point investigation into both complaints and submit a report along with observations as soon as possible so that further action can be taken.

Umakant Pandey, Additional Director of the Department, sent a notice to Arun Kumar Gupta on February 2, 2026. In accordance with General Administration Department rules, the complainant is required to submit an affidavit and written confirmation within 15 days. The affidavit must state that the complainant has personal knowledge of the matter and is prepared to provide evidence. Complaint to be dismissed if affidavit is not submitted.

The notice clearly states that if the original affidavit and written confirmation are not received within 15 days, the complaint will be closed in accordance with the rules. All eyes are now on the DM's inquiry. If the allegations are substantiated, the Kudra Nagar Panchayat EO could face severe disciplinary action.
