BHABHUA-----------------------A shocking case has come to light from Kaimur, where a family from Rajasthan has demanded the arrest of a 'robber bride.' The bride fled her in-laws' home with cash and jewelry worth lakhs. The police have initiated action following the incident.

In January 2015, a film directed by Abhishek Dogra titled *Dolly Ki Doli* was released. In the movie, the actress playing the bride (Sonam Kapoor) dupes grooms, making off with their money and jewelry. That was reel life; however, a similar incident involving Bihar and Rajasthan has now surfaced in Kaimur. Here, a bride pulled a major con on the groom, fleeing with cash and jewelry after the wedding. In this matter, a man named Lal—a resident of Deshnok village in Bikaner, Rajasthan—has lodged a complaint at the Bhabhua police station against the bride and a middleman.

The complaint filed with the police alleges a fake marriage and theft involving cash and jewelry. The police have begun investigating the case. Bhanwar Lal, the victim's brother, stated, "I was looking for a bride for my brother, Gautam. During this search, I met Santosh, alias Satish Tiwari. He deceived us and subsequently arranged my brother's marriage in Bhitari Bandh village, under the jurisdiction of the Karamchat police station in Kaimur district." Subsequently, Satish Tiwari arranged a marriage with 24-year-old Neha Kumari. He accepted ₹1,17,000 and jewelry in the name of the wedding. A date was then set for my brother's marriage to Neha—July 7th. We were asked to come to the court. Upon arrival at the specified location, we found stamp papers and a seal laid out on a table. The marriage ceremony took place there. The broker, Satish Tiwari, told the family from Rajasthan that since their train was scheduled for the morning, they should return to their hotel, and the girl would be brought there in the morning.

The family from Rajasthan went to the hotel. Later, when they called upon reaching the station, the girl was brought to Bhabhua Station. She was asked about her luggage. She then made an excuse to use the restroom, got onto a motorcycle, and fled. Attempts to contact Satish Tiwari afterwards were unsuccessful.

The aggrieved family states that the broker is unreachable. We later suspected that we had been defrauded. Consequently, my brother and I have filed a formal complaint at the Bhabhua Police Station and demanded action. Mukesh Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhabhua, stated that the matter has come to their attention and is currently under investigation; appropriate action will follow.
