BUXAR----------------------------Vinod Rai, the District General Secretary of the BJP, was seriously injured in a road accident on Saturday. The mishap resulted in fractures to his right knee and a finger on his hand. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon near Chanda village, along the Ara-Buxar NH-922 four-lane highway.

According to reports, Vinod Rai was returning to his native village, Durashan, from Buxar on his motorcycle. During the journey, an unidentified Scorpio vehicle swerved into his path while attempting to overtake. Consequently, the motorcycle went out of control, collided with a tractor parked on the roadside, and plunged into a ditch. Following the accident, the driver of the Scorpio fled the scene.

Responding promptly to the incident, local residents arranged for an ambulance and rushed the injured Vinod Rai to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. According to the attending physicians, his condition is currently out of danger. However, while doctors confirmed that he sustained no head injuries, they noted that he suffered severe chest injuries, for which he is being kept under special observation.

Upon receiving news of the incident, BJP District President Omprakash Singh Bhuvan—along with party leaders Jitendra Dubey, Hemant Kunwar, and Dhananjay Pandey—rushed to the hospital with several other party workers to inquire about his well-being.
