BHABHUA---------------------An incident of motorcycle theft in broad daylight was carried out by unidentified thieves near the Reliance Smart Point, situated close to Bhabhua Morh, within the jurisdiction of the Kudra police station in the district. The incident reportedly occurred on April 19, 2026; however, the case remains unsolved to date, creating an atmosphere of insecurity among local residents. The victim, Shashikant Singh, has filed a written complaint at the police station, appealing for justice. He stated that he had parked his Hero Splendor motorcycle (Registration Number BR 45 N 5139) near the Reliance Smart Point and had gone to purchase some items. Upon returning, he found that his vehicle was no longer at the spot where he had left it. The area remains extremely busy due to the presence of several banks—including SBI, PNB, and HDFC—in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene.
Despite this, the thieves managed to steal the bike in a mere six minutes. The entire incident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera, in which an individual can be clearly seen making off with the motorcycle. The victim recounted that after an extensive search yielded no leads, he immediately filed a complaint at the Kudra police station, demanding prompt action. Meanwhile, local residents remark that such incidents occurring in a crowded area raise serious questions regarding the effectiveness of police patrolling. The victim has urged the police administration to solve the case and recover the stolen motorcycle as soon as possible. It is worth noting that incidents of theft have become a frequent occurrence in the area, yet the police administration appears unable to solve these cases.
