ARA---------------------------The case of Bharat Tiwari, who was killed in an alleged encounter in Shahpur (Bilauti), Bhojpur, has taken a serious turn. The deceased's sister, Noori Devi, has presented five key demands to the government via the media and warned that if these demands are not met in time, her mother, Asha Devi, will be compelled to sit on an indefinite hunger strike starting July 9.
As her first and most crucial demand, Noori Devi has called for the immediate arrest of the officials involved in the incident. She has demanded strict action against Jagdishpur SDM Sanjit Kumar, Jagdishpur DSP Rajesh Sharma, Shahpur Police Station SHO Rajesh Malkar, SI Ankit Aryan, SI Satinanand Yadav, and STF personnel Akshay Kumar. She stated that if these officials are not arrested within the stipulated timeframe, her mother will be forced to go on a hunger strike.
Under the second demand, she expressed deep concern regarding her family's safety and asked the government to provide the family with... She has appealed for immediate security provision. As her third demand, Noori Devi has requested that if any official arrives to investigate the matter, she be informed beforehand so that she can extend proper cooperation during the inquiry process.
In her fourth demand, she has spoken up in support of innocent local youths. She insists that the fabricated cases registered by the police against 14 named individuals and 50 unidentified persons from the village be withdrawn without delay.
As her fifth and most serious demand, she has raised concerns regarding the surveillance of her home. Noori Devi alleges that her house is being subjected to reconnaissance by cars without number plates late at night, specifically after 11 PM. She claims to possess substantial evidence of this activity. She described how suspicious vehicles circle the house and speed away the moment family members step outside. She has expressed a clear fear for her safety, stating that if these individuals had honest intentions, they would have come forward to speak rather than conducting surveillance covertly.
Noori Devi stated that she and her family members intend to travel to Delhi to seek justice. The family is preparing to visit Delhi on the 17th and 18th to raise this issue at a higher level.
