ARA--------------------------The family of Bharat Tiwari, who was killed in the Bhojpur encounter, held a press conference at their residence on Sunday and presented five key demands to the government. Bharat Tiwari's mother, Asha Devi, and sister, Ruby Devi, stated that if no action is taken on their demands, Asha Devi will embark on an indefinite hunger strike starting July 9.

Speaking to the media, Ruby Devi stated that their primary demand is for action to be taken against—and the arrest of—the police officers and personnel whom the family has accused in connection with the encounter. She asserted that her mother, Asha Devi, would continue the hunger strike until the accused police personnel are arrested.

As their second demand, the family appealed for the assurance of their safety. They stated that the family feels unsafe under the current circumstances and that security should be provided to them.

The family's third demand is that the officials arriving to investigate the case should first provide them with a list... ...so that they can fully cooperate with the investigation and provide the necessary information.

Ruby Devi alleged that the police have registered false cases against several innocent villagers. She stated that 14 villagers have been named in the FIR, while a case has also been registered against 50 unidentified individuals. The family has demanded an impartial review of these cases and the withdrawal of charges against the innocent.

The family also claimed that they are being kept under surveillance late at night by a car without a number plate. Ruby Devi mentioned that footage of a suspicious vehicle has been captured on CCTV cameras. She has demanded that the administration investigate the matter to identify the vehicle's owner and the purpose of the surveillance. The family stated that they would continue their agitation until fair action is taken regarding all their demands.
