Former MLA Bhai Dinesh has raised serious questions regarding the poor sanitation system at Ara Junction, a major railway station in Bhojpur district. Expressing deep concern over the filth, stench, and chaotic state of cleanliness within the station premises, he has demanded immediate intervention from the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Danapur Division. He asserts that comprehensive improvements to the station's sanitation system are essential without delay, considering the convenience and health of passengers.
Former MLA Bhai Dinesh noted that Ara Junction is one of Bihar's busiest railway stations, with thousands of passengers traveling through it daily on various trains. Despite this, piles of garbage are scattered across several locations within the station premises.
The filth spread across the area and the rising stench have become a source of serious trouble for passengers. Women, children, the elderly, and differently-abled passengers, in particular, are bearing the brunt of this situation. He stated that while the Central Government and Indian Railways frequently make grand claims regarding cleanliness drives and the improvement of passenger amenities, the current state of Ara Junction exposes the reality behind these assertions. The lack of cleanliness within the station premises not only inconveniences passengers but also tarnishes the image of the Railways.
Bhai Dinesh noted that during the monsoon season, issues such as filth and waterlogging could increase the risk of spreading infectious diseases. If the sanitation system is not rectified promptly, it could adversely affect the health of passengers. He urged the railway administration to treat this matter seriously and launch a special cleanliness drive with immediate effect.
He demanded that the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Danapur Division order a high-level inquiry into the sanitation arrangements at Ara Junction. Furthermore, he insisted that accountability be fixed for officials and the concerned agency responsible for the negligence, and that strict action be taken against them to prevent such a situation from recurring in the future.
The former MLA remarked that a railway station serves as the gateway to a city, and the first impression a city makes on arriving passengers is formed right there. Therefore, it is crucial for the station premises to be clean, organized, and safe.
He emphasized that the convenience of the general public should be paramount and that the railway administration must take prompt, sensitive action to resolve passengers' grievances.
Local residents and passengers alike expect the railway administration to take immediate cognizance of this issue and ensure necessary improvements in the sanitation system at Ara Junction, thereby providing a clean and better environment for travelers and bringing about positive changes in the station's management.
