ARA-------------------------An awareness meeting marking "World Hypertension Day" was organized at Anand Hospital, located on the local Ramna Pakri Road. The meeting was organized and presided over by Dr. K.N. Sinha—a renowned Senior Physician and the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (Medical Cell), Bhojpur. Dr. Sinha explained that high blood pressure, or hypertension, is a highly dangerous medical condition. It is broadly classified into two types: primary and secondary. Primary hypertension occurs without any identifiable cause, whereas secondary hypertension stems from specific underlying conditions—such as heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, or hormonal imbalances. While primary hypertension is managed through appropriate medication, secondary hypertension requires treating the underlying causative disease in conjunction with suitable blood pressure medication. High blood pressure poses a threat to several vital organs, primarily the brain, eyes, heart, and kidneys. The most critical complications arising from high blood pressure include brain hemorrhage, heart attack, kidney failure, and blindness. Effective prevention and treatment of hypertension necessitate not only appropriate medication but also a disciplined diet and consistent physical activity. One should strictly avoid fast food, junk food, and outside food. Instead, consume home-cooked meals. Minimize the intake of oil, spices, and salt; furthermore, make it a daily habit to take a morning walk for 30 to 45 minutes, and practice yoga or other forms of exercise. One should also seek solace in music and spirituality to foster mental peace.

Prominent attendees at the event included the BJP District Vice President Engineer Dhirendra Singh; BJP District Secretary Smt. Chunni Pandey; the dedicated activist and Patron of the Medical Cell, Amardeep Kumar Jai; the General Secretary of the Wushu Association, Rajesh Prasad Thakur; as well as Kumar Ankush, Ankit Kumar, Jyoti Kumari, Kiran Kumari, Shashi Kumar Sinha, Pradeep Kumar, Anil Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Shiv Yadav, Kumari Mansi Tiwari, Harendra Prasad, Shashikant Kumar, and others.
